About The Role
We are seeking an experienced City Project Engineer to oversee premium retail outlet construction and renovation projects across India. This role requires end-to-end project management expertise, ensuring on-time delivery, uncompromised quality, and adherence to luxury brand standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical know-how, vendor management skills, and the ability to execute multiple projects in parallel while maintaining cost, quality, and compliance benchmarks.

What You'll Do?

Project Delivery

• Manage retail outlet construction/renovation from concept to handover.
• Develop and track project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Supervise architects, contractors, suppliers, MEP consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Execute multiple projects concurrently across diverse locations.
• Ensure seamless coordination between operations, vendors, and design teams.

Quality Control

• Define and implement rigorous quality protocols for construction and finishing.
• Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
• Ensure material and workmanship meet luxury brand specifications.
• Document quality checkpoints and issue resolution processes.

Build Excellence

• Oversee procurement and installation of premium materials, fixtures, fittings, and bespoke elements.
• Manage flooring, lighting, millwork, glasswork, HVAC, and artwork finishing.
• Ensure precision in color, detailing, and brand alignment with global retail standards.

Vendor Management

• Source and evaluate premium contractors and suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts with a focus on quality deliverables and cost efficiency.
• Maintain vendor performance scorecards and conduct regular reviews.
• Resolve escalated quality and delivery issues.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate statutory approvals, licenses, and inspections.
• Enforce health, safety, and accessibility standards.
• Drive zero-incident culture across all project sites.

Systems & Processes

• Local Execution Tracker: Project schedules, quality checklists, handover protocols.
• Maintenance Management: Work orders, preventive schedules, asset tracking, response times.
• Vendor Management: Local supplier database, SLA monitoring, payment processing.
• Facility Operations Dashboard: Soft services scheduling, utility monitoring, incident tracking.
• Field Inspection: Real-time site inspections with photo documentation.
• Performance Analytics: Project metrics, maintenance KPIs, cost tracking.
• Emergency Response System: 24/7 alerts, escalation protocols, rapid repair dispatching.

Requirements For The Role

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in retail/commercial construction projects.
• Proven track record in luxury retail brands and high-end outlet fit-outs.
• Project management tools: MS Project, Primavera.
• CAD software and technical drawing interpretation (2D, 3D, GFC layouts).
• BOQ preparation and Capex/Opex estimates.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and finishing techniques.
• Building codes, safety, permits, and regulatory processes.
• Premium finishes (painting, glass, artwork, millwork, HVAC, lighting).
• Luxury brand guidelines and retail experience standards.
• Knowledge of sustainable construction materials and hygiene protocols.
• Financial management and cost control
