Job Summary:

A Cloud Network Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud network infrastructures. They ensure seamless connectivity, security, and compliance across hybrid and multi-cloud environments while collaborating with IT teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Network Design: Architect and implement cloud networking solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Security & Compliance: Design secure network architectures, ensuring adherence to compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Integration: Develop and manage hybrid cloud connectivity, integrating on-premises networks with cloud environments.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring low latency and high availability.
  • Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Leverage tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation to automate cloud network deployments.
  • Network Troubleshooting & Support: Identify and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business goals while maintaining detailed technical documentation.
  • Emerging Technologies & Innovation: Stay updated with the latest cloud networking trends, including SD-WAN, SASE, and Zero Trust Architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in cloud networking, network architecture, or related fields.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in cloud networking services (AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network, GCP VPC), SDN, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
  • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, DDoS mitigation, and encryption protocols.
  • Automation Skills: Experience with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for network automation.
  • Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, or CCNP/CCIE.
