ROLE - PURCHASE EXECUTIVE (MECHANICAL)

JOB Description

  • Responsible for purchase activities of allotted projects that meet the quality , quantity and schedule expectations of the project team & Organization.
  • Technical & Commercial Review of received Specifications from Technical Departments,
  • Research potential vendors & quality of their products before placing order
  • Float Enquiries, Request quotes from competent vendors, Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers. Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing and finalize vendors
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements. Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain order details into internal databases (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices).Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with vendors, other support groups and project team members.
  • Adhering to companys procurement policies and procedures.
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Finding new suppliers and conducting business assessments and evaluations with major suppliers.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
  • Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and new products.
  • Ensure the optimization of freight logistics.
  • Coordinates the disposition of surplus property and equipment by auction or other means.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Candidates should be Diploma / Engineering in Mechanical with 2 to 5 yrs of experience in Production & Manufacturing Industry of Mechanical and electronic goods .
  • Candidates from material Science and relevant education background are added advantage.
  • Sound Knowledge of fabrication processes, fabrication drawings and Mechanical materials Composition.
  • Knowledge of purchase processes and experience in contract negotiations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Hands on experience with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems(ERP Softwares)
  • Negotiation skills and costing knowledge is required.
  • Ability to control Purchase requisition, purchase orders and its Docs.
  • Analytical skills with ability to solve complex problems and use good judgment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
