Job Purpose:

The Manager Information and Cyber Security will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring a strategic, comprehensive cybersecurity and IT risk management program. The role involves safeguarding organizational information assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and leading proactive threat identification, mitigation, and incident response initiatives across all digital platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC):

  • Establish and manage information security policies, standards, and procedures in line with ISO 27001, CERT-In, and other frameworks.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and ensure timely mitigation of vulnerabilities.
  • Manage audits, compliance checks, and certification renewals (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Coordinate with internal/external auditors and ensure closure of audit findings.

2. Cybersecurity Operations:

  • Oversee SOC operations, including incident detection, monitoring, and response.
  • Manage vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT) and ensure remediation.
  • Develop, implement, and test incident response and business continuity plans.
  • Lead forensic investigations and root cause analysis for major incidents.

3. Application & Infrastructure Security:

  • Review architecture of systems and applications to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Ensure secure configurations, patch management, and vulnerability controls across environments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and product teams to integrate security into SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.

4. Data Protection & Privacy:

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and government security guidelines.
  • Implement data classification, encryption, and access control mechanisms.

5. Awareness & Training:

  • Conduct regular cybersecurity training and awareness programs.
  • Foster a strong security culture and continuous improvement mindset.

6. Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Partner with legal, HR, and operations teams on cross-functional security issues.
  • Present risk metrics, incidents, and actionable insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or ISO 27001 LA preferred.
  • Additional relevant certifications/fellowships/diplomas will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Information Security, Cyber Risk Management, or related areas.
  • Strong knowledge of frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP, ITIL, and COBIT.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and DLP tools.
  • Proven expertise in managing VAPT, SOC operations, and incident response.
  • Exposure to cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data protection best practices.
