Overview:

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with strong expertise in Python development and a solid background in Battery Management Systems (BMS) or automotive software testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and executing automated test strategies, validating control algorithms, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability in embedded and system-level applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python to validate embedded and application-level software.
  • Perform functional, integration, and system testing for BMS/automotive applications, including closed-loop control algorithms.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define test requirements, acceptance criteria, and test coverage.
  • Design and implement test plans, test procedures, and test cases to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standards.
  • Capture, track, and manage defects using JIRA or similar systems.
  • Utilize Test Case Management Systems (e.g., Testrail) for test documentation and execution.
  • Support continuous improvement by evaluating and implementing test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure safety, quality, and compliance in testing automotive/BMS solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of QA/testing experience in the automotive or BMS domain.
  • Strong Python development skills for automation and test framework development.
  • Experience testing embedded systems, control algorithms, and real-time applications.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Testrail, GitHub, Jenkins (or equivalent).
