Position: Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager Assembly

Function: Assembly Shop

Department: Production

Location: Narsapura Industrial Area, Kolar

Reporting To: Senior Manager Assembly Shop

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strong experience in people management, day-to-day work allocation, monitoring shop floor activities, scheduling, cycle time reduction, and implementing best practices for productivity improvement.
  2. Sound knowledge of structural jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and cutting tools used in the assembly process.
  3. Ability to study manufacturing process sheets, customer drawings, specifications, and coordinate with support teams to resolve technical queries on the shop floor.
  4. Proficient in man-hour estimation, time study, line balancing, and basic costing and estimation techniques.
  5. Working knowledge of aerospace standards such as AS9100 / QMS 9001:2008 and EHS 14001:2004.
  6. Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP-PP Module.
  7. Drive daily production to meet monthly targets. Track rework/rejection rates and implement corrective actions to reduce them.
  8. Continuously implement best practices to improve cycle time and efficiency.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand build-to-print concepts.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, support during audits, and ensure EHS compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: 5-10 years
  • Industry Preference: Aerospace Structural Assembly

Additional Details:

  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday

    (1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturdays are week off)
  • Shift Timing: General Shift – 8:15 AM to 5:00 PM
