Role Overview:
We are seeking a Data Scientist to work closely with our semiconductor customers, analyzing fab data to drive insights, process improvements, and contamination control strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of semiconductor processes, advanced analytical methods, and the ability to work with complex data from various fab systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze data related to FOUP chemistries, lithography scanner performance, and airborne molecular contamination (AMC) in cleanrooms.
  • Perform data mining to uncover patterns, correlations, and anomalies in large, complex semiconductor process datasets.
  • Collaborate directly with semiconductor fab engineers to interpret results and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
  • Develop, refine, and apply statistical and analytical methods to process data.
  • Create data visualizations, reports, and presentations for internal and customer use.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align data analysis with customer needs and Picarro's product capabilities.
  • Travel to customer sites all over the world to help drive solution development and implementation.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred (IISc or similar institution a plus).
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and contamination control.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics tools, statistical modeling, and visualization. Handson experience in Python is a must.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
