Job Summary:

As the
Video Editor
, your job is to turn raw footage into engaging videos for Reels, Shorts, and YouTube. From high-energy festival recaps to creator-led explainers, you'll be handling daily edits that need to be on-brand, on-trend, and delivered on time. This is a high-ownership role with no senior editor above you—you will be responsible for shaping the tone, pace, and identity of the content.

What You'll Actually Do:

Daily Editing Responsibilities:

  • Edit 2-3 videos a day: 15s–2 mins for Reels/Shorts, or 4–6 mins for YouTube.
  • Add
    captions, transitions, music, effects
    , and structure that makes videos perform.
  • Work with
    multicam, phone, and event footage
    , depending on the format.
  • Organize raw files, pull selects, and build rough cuts from large banks of footage.
  • Collaborate with the content and scripting team for references, feedback, and revisions.
  • Deliver versions within
    tight 24–48 hr timelines
    while keeping quality consistent.

Skills You Absolutely Need:

  • Punctuality and speed:
    Time is everything. We're building India's biggest youth festival IP—deadlines matter.
  • Ownership mindset:
    No "I didn't know"—if something's unclear, ask. Guidance will be given, but no spoon-feeding.
  • Adaptability:
    Formats will change, feedback will come often. You have to stay flexible.
  • Good attitude:
    You must be easy to work with. No ego, no drama, no attitude problems.
  • Strong basics:
    Platform-native editing (Reels/Shorts/YouTube), audio sync, cut-downs, and captions.

Must-Haves:

  • At least
    1–2 years of editing experience
    , including Reels or YouTube (freelance/internship is fine if work is solid).
  • Fast turnaround without loss in quality.
  • Comfortable working with
    Google Drive, Premiere Pro/Final Cut/CapCut
    , and feedback tools.
  • Can handle event footage, UGC, and less-than-perfect source clips.

Bonus (Good to Have):

  • Past experience editing for youth festivals, creators, or campus-based content.
  • Comfortable with both vertical and horizontal formats.
  • Can do basic color correction and light audio cleanup.
