We are hiring an experienced, patient-focused Orthopaedic Consultant (MS or DNB) to join the Sangli / Jath team and lead surgical, clinical and multidisciplinary care pathways.

  • Perform a broad range of surgeries including fracture fixation, arthroplasty (TKR/THR), arthroscopy and emergency trauma procedures with attention to surgical safety and outcomes.
  • Lead perioperative planning: order/interpret imaging, consent patients, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and manage post-op rehabilitation and complications.
  • Respond to orthopaedic emergencies and trauma calls; stabilise, triage and execute timely operative interventions when required.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EMR, contribute to clinical audits, morbidity & mortality reviews and quality-improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior doctors, trainees and paramedical staff; promote evidence-based protocols and adherence to infection-control & surgical safety checklists.

Skills & Qualifications

  • MBBS with MS (Orthopaedics) or DNB (Orthopaedics) — valid medical registration in India.
  • Proven clinical experience in orthopaedic surgery, trauma care and joint replacement (minimum experience as per employer requirement).
  • Hands-on expertise in fracture fixation techniques, arthroplasty (TKR/THR) and basic arthroscopic procedures.
  • Competence in perioperative management, interpretation of X-ray/CT/MRI and emergency orthopaedic protocols.
  • Strong communication skills, patient counselling ability and capability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with hospital EMR systems, clinical governance and participation in audits.

Preferred

  • Additional fellowship or certification in arthroplasty, trauma or arthroscopy.
  • Experience working in high-volume district or tertiary hospitals, preferably in Maharashtra or similar regions.
  • Training in advanced trauma life support (ATLS) and team leadership in emergency settings.
  • Research publications, teaching experience or involvement in community outreach camps.

Benefits & Culture Highlights

  • On-site, hands-on clinical role with access to a steady surgical caseload and opportunities to develop subspecialty practice.
