About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to work closely with our senior investment team in sourcing, evaluating, and executing startup investment opportunities, as well as assisting in fundraising activities. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about the startup ecosystem, with strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

-Deal Sourcing & Networking: Identify and engage with promising startups and investors through multiple channels (outreach, events, platforms, personal networks, industry forums).

  • Due Diligence & Analysis: o Review and analyse pitch decks, financial models, and business plans.

-Conduct market and industry research to assess competitive landscapes, growth potential, and risks.

  • Collateral Preparation: Create and update investor decks, financial models, investment memos, and other fundraising materials.

-Fundraising Support: Assist in preparing data rooms, managing documentation flow, and coordinating with stakeholders during fundraising processes.

-Pipeline Management: Maintain and update databases of startups and investors, ensuring accurate and timely information.

-Industry Insights: Monitor market trends, sectoral developments, and regulatory changes impacting startups and investments.

-Relationship Management: Support the senior team in managing relationships with founders, investors, and ecosystem partners.

-Travel: Be ready to travel for client meetings, startup visits, and investor interactions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or Management.

-MBA, CFA (Level 1 or above), or equivalent qualifications will be an added advantage.

Experience
: o Prior exposure to venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or startup operations is preferred.

Skills
:

-Strong analytical and research skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques. o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with CRM tools, databases, and startup platforms is a plus.

-Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. o Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
