Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled
Tier 3 Engineer - AWS and OCI Administrator
to join our Managed Services team. The role involves advanced administration, operations, and management of AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments for global HPE customers. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, a strong customer focus, and the ability to lead complex technical initiatives in a
24/7 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide
    advanced technical support
    and
    strategic guidance
    for AWS and OCI environments.
  • Lead
    root cause analysis
    ,
    performance tuning
    , and resolution of complex issues.
  • Support
    migration, upgrade, transformation
    , and
    automation
    initiatives.
  • Act as a
    technical liaison
    between internal teams, customers, and third-party vendors.
  • Mentor
    junior engineers and drive
    process improvements
    and
    knowledge sharing
    .
  • Handle
    problem management
    ,
    post-incident reviews
    , and
    RCA documentation
    .
  • Ensure adherence to
    SLA
    ,
    case quality
    , and
    operational metrics
    .
  • Resolve customer issues via
    email, phone, or remote sessions
    , escalating to vendors when required.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate cloud services with existing infrastructure and applications.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in
    provisioning, configuring, and managing
    AWS and OCI resources (EC2, S3, Compute Instances, Storage, Networking, Databases).
  • Strong understanding of
    networking concepts
    and
    protocols
    — VPC, Fast Connect, Load Balancer, VPN, VCN, NSG, gateways, and security lists.
  • Proficiency in
    troubleshooting
    compute (EC2, VM),
    RDS
    ,
    Auto-scaling
    ,
    Cost Management
    ,
    Lambda
    ,
    EDR
    ,
    FSS
    ,
    EFS
    ,
    S3
    , and
    Object Storage
    .
  • Experience implementing
    security controls
    ,
    compliance measures
    ,
    backup
    , and
    disaster recovery strategies
    .
  • Familiarity with
    DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
    , and basic
    Physical Network/Storage technologies
    .
  • Working knowledge of
    REST APIs
    ,
    PowerShell
    , and
    database systems
    (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Ability to
    monitor
    ,
    analyze
    , and
    optimize performance
    across AWS and OCI platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
    in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum
    7 years of experience
    in an Enterprise Managed Services environment.
  • Proven expertise in
    AWS
    ,
    OCI
    , and other public cloud platforms.
  • Certifications
    in AWS and OCI (latest tracks) are highly preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation certification
    preferred.
  • Experience
    leading technical teams or projects
    is an added advantage.
  • Must be flexible to work in a
    24/7 support environment
    .
  • For internal applicants: minimum level
    SPE
    and
    manager approval
    required.
