Analysts - Policy Management work with Underwriters operating in our international hubs such as New York, Singapore and London and support processing tasks such as Bound, Endorsements, and Policy Issuance etc
.
*What You'll Be DOING*
What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Interpreting policy & handover documents such as slips, endorsements, declarations, reports and updating policy management systems with the information. Preparing pricing models when applicable. Where relevant, preparing insurance documents/reports to be shared with external clients.
  • Communicating with underwriters and MO to help resolve queries and working with team members to help them with resolution and meeting turnaround time.
  • Might be supporting more than one team, offering support across various products, countries, regions, departments and/or functions OR handing a particular product or line of business.
  • Proactive problem-solving to balance and manage stakeholders' expectations with agreed service standards.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert and a role model on process and tools used and/or providing long-term support to other team members on top of daily duties.
  • Performing quality checks on tasks performed by colleagues.
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation of the existing and future processes, including detailed process maps.
  • Getting involved in transitions, planning & execution as applicable.
  • Constantly elaborating existing processes and looking for improvement opportunities. Getting involved in testing and sharing results.
  • Looking to engage in projects and opportunities to collaborate with other individuals/teams in the department.
  • Adhering to Service Level Agreements and quality targets set by Global Operations in agreement with Middle Office / Underwriting.
  • Using workflow and time-tracking tools to ensure proper work organization and reporting.
  • Supporting in different time zone to provide coverage to business as applicable.
  • Since this is an self-directed role, the scope may vary depending on the need.

You will report to the Manager, Policy Management.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

*Required Skills And Abilities:*

  • Graduate in any discipline, preferably in Insurance, Commerce or Finance & Accounting.
  • Candidate with relevant years of experience within AXA XL.
  • Very good knowledge of Insurance/Underwriting.
  • Excellent knowledge of policy management tools.
  • Ability to read and comprehend insurance industry related correspondence and memos. Excellent understanding of the line of business supported.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confidence to speak up in team meetings as well as with senior colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving attitude, great work organization skills.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and ability to work self-supportably and under own initiative.
  • Ability to support the team manager from the technical perspective as an SME.
