This hybrid role combines the rigor of QA automation with the agility of full-stack development. The SDET will design, develop, and test MEAN-based applications — embedding automated quality gates directly into the CI/CD workflow. The goal: ensure every feature ships production-ready, scalable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-stack feature development: Build and maintain APIs, UI components, and database integrations across the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, ).

  • Automation-first mindset: Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest, Cypress, Mocha, and Supertest.

  • Test-Driven Development (TDD): Integrate testing into every stage of the dev lifecycle.

  • CI/CD automation: Configure GitHub Actions, Docker Compose, and automated test pipelines on pull requests and deployments.

  • Mocking and stubbing: Build mock APIs and data stubs to enable isolated and fast front-end testing.

  • Performance & reliability: Measure test coverage, regression frequency, and build stability; suggest optimization improvements.

  • Cross-team collaboration: Partner with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to maintain consistent quality standards and testing best practices.

  • Analyse software specifications and define testing strategies aligned with system requirements

  • Design, execute, and document both manual and automated test plans

  • Identify, log, and manage defects using standard bug tracking tools

  • Collaborate with developers to debug and resolve defects quickly

  • Conduct regression, smoke, and performance tests pre- and post-release

  • Research and implement new testing tools and frameworks

  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and code reviews

  • Maintain accurate QA documentation, coverage reports, and pipeline dashboards

  • Support release readiness reviews and ensure deployment quality gates are met

Core Skills

  • Languages & Frameworks: Strong hands-on experience with Angular, , Express, MongoDB

  • Testing Tools: Jest, Cypress, Mocha, Supertest, Karma, Chai, selenium, jasmine

  • Automation & CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Docker Compose, MongoMemoryServer

  • Methodologies: TDD, BDD, Agile, DevOps integration

  • API & Contract Testing: Swagger, Postman, Newman

  • Version Control: Git, GitHub (branching, PR validation, hooks)

Preferred Experience

  • 1–3 years of MEAN stack development and QA automation experience

  • At least 1 year integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience monitoring build reliability, test coverage, and bug regression metrics

  • Exposure to performance benchmarking and test parallelization

Qualifications

  • Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in software QA/testing; experience in MEAN development preferred

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, communication, debugging, and attention to detail

  • Bonus: Familiarity with containerized test environments, parallel test runners, or AI-assisted test generation

Pay: ₹12, ₹30,000.00 per month
