Manager - Public Administration (Project Liaisoning)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Statutory & Regulatory Liaisoning

  • Coordinate with central, state, and local government departments for obtaining project approvals, NOCs, and statutory clearances (Electrical Inspectorate, CEIG, Pollution Control Board, DISCOM, SLDC, MNRE, etc.).
  • Manage applications, documentation, and renewals for all licenses, land, and grid connectivity approvals.
  • Liaise with nodal agencies (SECI, SNA, STU, CEA) for Solar and BESS project-related permissions and policy compliance.
  • Ensure project compliance with state and central renewable energy regulations, CEA norms, and BESS policy guidelines.

2. Land & Infrastructure Coordination

  • Facilitate land acquisition and related documentation through coordination with local authorities and landowners.
  • Ensure all statutory documents, mutation, and land conversion processes are completed in time.
  • Liaise with local revenue departments, tehsildars, and district administration for right-of-way, approach road, and other infrastructure support.

3. Utility & Grid Interface

  • Coordinate with DISCOMs, STUs, and CTUs for grid interconnection, synchronization, and metering approvals.
  • Track progress of applications for power evacuation and grid connectivity.
  • Support signing of Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), Open Access, and Wheeling Agreements.

4. Public Relations & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with government officials, regulatory authorities, and local bodies.
  • Represent the company at public hearings, stakeholder meetings, and official forums.
  • Handle local community and administrative issues to ensure smooth project execution and operation.
  • Support CSR and community liaison initiatives around project areas.

5. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain up-to-date tracker of all approvals, renewals, and compliances for each project.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to management on approval timelines, risks, and dependencies.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports, affidavits, and declarations to concerned authorities.

6. Policy Monitoring & Advocacy

  • Track evolving renewable energy and energy storage policies at central and state levels.
  • Provide insights on regulatory developments and their implications for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Support management in preparing representations or policy inputs to government bodies and industry associations.
