Accounting and Tax Consultant

Responsible for the day-to-day management of all tax compliance function such as monthly / quarterly / annually tax payment, advance tax payment, tax return filing in respect of Goods and Service Tax (GST), Income tax, Withholding Tax, Tax Deduction at source (TDS), Tax Collection at Source (TCS), MSME compliance return.
Responsible for handling day to day Special Economic Zone (SEZ) compliances such as filing Softex, monthly/ quarterly / annually Performance Report, Service Export Reporting Form (SERF), Domestic Service Procurement Form (DSPF), Bill of Entry filing, maintaining Bond register, obtaining letter of approval, payment of duty etc.
Responsible for handing income tax, transfer pricing and GST audits, scrutiny assessments, collecting, compiling, reviewing the data and preparing reply to the notices, making necessary submissions etc. to the tax and regulatory authorities. Attending personal hearing, making personal representation before the tax authorities.
Preparing and submitting import and export and ESOP related submissions to Authorized dealer bank, filing necessary annual return to Reserve Bank of India.
Periodic reconciliation of all tax related accounts with returns and obtaining the appropriate approvals.
Preparation and accounting of monthly tax provisions, deferred tax, minimum alternate Tax and obtaining the appropriate approvals.
Supporting preparation and filing of annual corporate tax return, SEZ return, GST return, Transfer Pricing documents, Advance Pricing Agreement (APA), Country by Country Reporting (CBCR).
Ensures all internal processes within the department are followed to ensure tax compliance deadlines, work turnaround times are good and all technical points are addressed.
Verification of Vendor onboarding documents and responsible for vendor onboarding, offboarding, blocking process along with any changes in the vendor master information, Lower or nil withholding tax configuration,
Verification and approval of Purchase orders from tax angle and handling finance related Purchase Requisition(PR), Purchase order, Good receipts / service entry, invoice submission.
Responsible for maintaining tax related records, documents as required under the various laws,
Provide guidance form tax and regulatory angle for various business decisions such as expansion, relocation and providing support to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Timely support internal audit, statutory audit, corporate audit, system audit and ensure no tax observations, control or process laps
Fully understands the company business model and identifies tax optimization opportunities, process improvement, control laps and revenue leakage and bring solution to mitigate losses and improve working environment.
Work with other teams, collaborate, building relationships and promoting smooth and timely functioning es.
Qualifications –
Chartered Accountant/ Chartered Accountant Inter, ICWA, CPA
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Mandatory skills
Proven IT skills, ideally in the following systems: SAP, Word, Excel. Power Point
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Proven prioritization, time management and organizational skills.
Experience of delivering accurate and thorough work.
Experience in managing multiple tasks, complex tax issues and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, self-motivated and able to take responsibility for own work
Able to work to strict deadlines.
Strong team working skills, able to build and maintain trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to liaise confidently and professionally at all levels.
Efficient management of client documents, using paper and electronic filing.
