About the Role:

Our client, a fast-growing e-commerce company, is looking for a
Marketplace Lead
to lead and scale their marketplace business. This role will own the P&L, drive strategic partnerships, and ensure strong growth across online channels. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of scaling marketplace operations, leading cross-functional teams, and managing relationships with leading e-commerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end marketplace business, including P&L responsibility.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive growth across marketplaces
  • Build and manage strong relationships with category managers and marketplace stakeholders.
  • Lead pricing, promotions, and assortment planning to maximize sales.
  • Partner with supply chain, marketing, and product teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Analyze sales data and customer insights to identify new opportunities.
  • Scale marketplace presence and expand into new categories/channels.

Requirements:

  • 8–12 years of experience in e-commerce/retail, with significant marketplace exposure.
  • Strong understanding of online retail dynamics, digital marketing levers, and pricing strategies.
  • Proven ability to drive growth and manage large P&L.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with marketplace partners.
  • MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
