Role & responsibilities

To lead and manage end-to-end operations of Nasik Plant I & II (Tower Parts Fabrication and Galvanizing Units), including Production, Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Dispatch, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and compliance. The incumbent will drive operational excellence, systematic planning, and people engagement aligned with organizational values of Integrity, Transparency, Diligence, and Commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Operations Management

  • Oversee daily production targets for fabrication and galvanizing units ensuring output meets dispatch and project schedules.
  • Monitor production efficiency, plant utilization, and cycle times; initiate improvement actions for bottlenecks.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and TPM practices to enhance throughput and reduce wastage.

2. Production Planning & Control (PPC)

  • Lead plant-level production planning, scheduling, and capacity utilization in coordination with HO Planning and Project teams.
  • Review production forecasts, prioritize job orders, and align resources to meet delivery timelines.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly plans against actual performance and initiate corrective actions.
  • Ensure ERP-based planning, material tracking, and reporting for transparency and accuracy.

3. Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to internal and client-specific quality standards for tower parts.
  • Drive process audits, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation for zero-defect delivery.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams to maintain inspection protocols and documentation compliance.

4. Maintenance & Asset Management

  • Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules for all fabrication and galvanizing equipment.
  • Ensure asset reliability, minimal downtime, and cost-effective maintenance practices.

5. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

  • Promote a strong safety culture across both plants; ensure compliance with statutory and company safety norms.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and employee training sessions.

6. Cost & Resource Optimization

  • Control manufacturing costs, energy usage, and material wastage.
  • Optimize manpower deployment and shift utilization across both plants.

7. Supply Chain Coordination

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Stores, and Dispatch teams for timely material availability and delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels, reconciliation, and vendor performance for galvanizing chemicals and consumables.

8. People Leadership

  • Lead a multi-functional team across Production, Planning, Maintenance, QA, and Admin.
  • Coach and develop plant managers and supervisors to strengthen leadership pipeline.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

9. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure statutory compliance under Factory Act, Labour Laws, Pollution Control, and Energy Management.
  • Present monthly MIS covering production KPIs, cost performance, and improvement initiatives to the Manufacturing Head.

Preferred candidate profile

  1. Education: B.E./B.Tech Mechanical / Production / Other
  2. Experience: years in heavy fabrication/galvanizing industry; minimum 5 years as Plant Head / Unit Head.
  3. Industry Preference: Power Transmission Towers, Structural Fabrication, or related EPC manufacturing.
