An Electrical Estimation Engineer for responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and creating comprehensive bids for electrical panel projects.

*Key responsibilities*

  1. Project analysis: Review customer drawings, project specifications, and technical documents to understand the scope of the project.

  2. Cost estimation: Calculate and prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and other resources required for electrical panels.

  3. BOM preparation: Create accurate Bills Bills of Materials (BOM) for the projects.

  4. Vendor communication: Obtain quotes from suppliers and negotiate with them to get the best pricing for components.

  5. Bid proposal development: Prepare competitive and comprehensive bid proposals for clients.

  6. Design and technical support: Assist with the base design of electrical panels and generate necessary documentation, such as single-line diagrams (SLDs).

  7. Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, such as production, sales, and purchase, to ensure a smooth workflow.

  8. Risk assessment: Identify potential risks in projects and develop mitigation strategies.

  9. Documentation: Maintain organized and accurate records of all estimates, proposals, and vendor communications, adhering to company and ISO standards where applicable.

*Required skills and qualifications*

  1. Education: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  2. Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of low and high voltage (LV/HV) switchgear, MCC, PCC, APFC, AMF, and control panels. Automation knowledge will be added advantage

  3. Software proficiency: MS office, Enclosure design software like Schneider Blokset /Schneider Prisma/Siemens Siepan /ABB ArtuK.

  4. Analytical skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately assess costs and project requirements.

  5. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

  6. Detail-oriented: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates and documentation.
