We are looking for an experienced Playwright Automation Engineer with strong expertise in TypeScript to develop and maintain scalable Web and API automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing end-to-end automation strategies using Playwright, integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines, and driving quality excellence across Agile teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Playwright automation frameworks using TypeScript for both Web UI and API testing.
  • Create and execute end-to-end automated test scripts covering functional, regression, and integration scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain API automation suites using Playwright's built-in API testing capabilities or supporting libraries (e.g., Axios, SuperTest).
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.) to enable continuous testing.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to define test strategies and ensure full coverage of business requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for automation failures and improve test reliability and performance.
  • Implement best practices in code reviews, reusable components, and test data management.
  • Stay updated on the latest Playwright and TypeScript advancements to continuously improve automation practices.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright using TypeScript.
  • Proven experience in both Web UI automation and API testing using Playwright or similar frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills in TypeScript / JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, OOP principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience integrating automation suites with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Good knowledge of version control systems (Git) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
