- Oversee microbiology laboratory operations (bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, serology).
- Validate and interpret microbiological test results.
- Supervise culture techniques, sensitivity testing (AST), and molecular diagnostic methods (PCR, RT-PCR, etc.).
- Monitor and guide antibiotic susceptibility testing (CLSI/EUCAST standards).
- Collaborate with clinicians for infectious disease diagnosis and management.
- Implement and monitor hospital infection control practices.
- Support antimicrobial stewardship programs.
