Role & responsibilities

Position Summary: The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing inspections at various stages of production to ensure that products meet quality, safety, and customer requirements. This role involves conducting incoming, in-process, and final inspections, maintaining calibration and inspection records, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and procedures

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspection Activities :

  • Conduct incoming inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections prior to NDE and product release.
  • Verify conformance of materials and products to drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Report any product defects or nonconformances to the QA/QC department and relevant personnel promptly.
  • Assist in First Article Inspections and product qualification processes when required.

2. Documentation and Record Management :

  • Maintain inspection records, reports, and related quality documents in a well-organized and traceable manner.
  • Update inspection registers and ensure data accuracy.
  • Prepare Certificates of Conformance (COC) for inspected products.

3. Calibration and Equipment Control :

  • Perform in-house calibration of Monitoring and Measuring Equipment (MME) and maintain calibration reports and records.
  • Ensure that all MME, including ring gauges and API gauges, are properly handled, preserved, and stored.
  • Update and maintain calibration history records and ring gauge calibration documentation.

4. Communication and Support :

  • Ensure timely communication of inspection results, defects, and complaints to appropriate personnel.
  • Support continuous improvement activities related to product quality and process performance.
  • Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Senior Quality Inspector.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that all inspection and quality control activities are carried out safely and effectively.
  • Confirm that products meet quality and customer requirements at all inspection stages and prior to release.
  • Ensure calibration activities are completed and certified on schedule.
    • Maintain proper control, handling, and preservation of all Monitoring and Measuring Equipment.
  • Guarantee proper maintenance and timely issuance of all inspection and quality documents.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality throughout all operations.

Education and Experience:


• Education: ITI / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or equivalent).


• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an engineering or manufacturing workshop environment
