Introduction: Join our team as an Commissioning Incharge and play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our EPC Power Projects .

Job Description

Responsible for activities related to commissioning of AQCS equipment i.e. LHS, LGS, GDS, GHS, FGS, Absorber etc.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Creating schedules and timelines for the commissioning Works.
  • Monitoring progress and keeping track of milestones.
  • Customer interaction / handling at project site.

Nature & Scope

  • Develop a comprehensive commissioning plan outlining the sequence of activities required for the successful start-up of the FGD system.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to align commissioning activities with project milestones.
  • Lead and manage a commissioning team, ensuring that each team member understands their roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members throughout the commissioning process.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the commissioning process and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with safety personnel to ensure all commissioning activities adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Develop and review commissioning procedures for each system and subsystem of the FGD plant.
  • Ensure that commissioning activities are aligned with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the testing and verification of FGD equipment, instruments, and control systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the delivery and installation of components that meet the required specifications.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts during the commissioning phase to identify and address any issues that may arise.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize system performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of commissioning activities, test results, and any modifications made to the system.
  • Prepare reports for project stakeholders, providing updates on commissioning progress and highlighting any issues or concerns.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for operations and maintenance personnel to ensure a smooth transition from commissioning to full-scale operation.
  • Ensure that all commissioning activities comply with environmental regulations, safety standards, and other applicable laws.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to verify that the FGD system meets performance specifications and environmental standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with project manager, engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders to provide updates on commissioning progress and address any concerns.

Person Profile

Educational Qualification

  • Mechanical Degree above 60% (bachelor/ master).
  • Appropriate experience in power plant structure construction and FGD structure Construction works.
  • Good proficiency in English.

Specific Skills

  • Knowledge of FGD systems from concept to commissioning with project scope.
  • Presentation for work progress.
  • Active and positive in solving problems.
  • Project monitoring and review of project schedule.
  • Motivate and well-aimed promotion of ideas and concepts.
  • High degree of safety and quality works awareness.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in the field of power plant construction and FGD project.
  • Executed EPC Projects as commissioning Head for Coal fired Power projects and FGD project.
