1. Quality Assurance & Control

· Establish and implement quality inspection plans for Dry, Oil, and Solar transformers.

· Conduct incoming material inspection (copper, CRGO/Amorphous core laminations, insulation, resin, oil, tanks).

· Perform in-process and final inspections (winding, core assembly, tanking, vacuum drying, oil filling, testing).

· Supervise routine & type testing (HV, LV, impulse, short circuit, temperature rise, oil BDV, partial discharge, etc.).

· Ensure compliance with IS, IEC, BIS, ISO, and customer-specific standards.

· Analyze defects, rejections, and field failures; implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

· Conduct prototype testing and validation in collaboration with design & production teams.

2. Process Improvement

· Work with production to improve process reliability and reduce variation.

· Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies for quality improvements.

· Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for testing and inspection.

3. Documentation & Reporting

· Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and calibration logs.

· Prepare technical reports for customer audits, certifications, and internal reviews.

· Assist in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 audits and compliance documentation.

· Provide feedback to design and production for continuous improvement.

4. Team Supervision & Training

· Guide quality inspectors, testing engineers, and lab technicians.

· Conduct training sessions on testing procedures, quality awareness, and R&D projects.

· Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental norms during testing and R&D trials.

  • A degree in Electrical engineering is must (BE/ B. Tech, Diploma)
