  • Key ResponsibilitiesDjango App Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Django and related technologies.
  • Data Visualisation: Build dashboards and interactive visualisations to surface actionable insights to users.
  • Database Management: Work with large, structured and unstructured datasets (text/images) using PostgreSQL; optimise queries and data models.
  • Task Queuing & Asynchronous Processing: Implement Celery with Redis for background jobs, data pipelines, and real-time updates.
  • Automation: Set up WhatsApp and other messaging service integrations for user engagement and system notifications.
  • API Development: Build and integrate RESTful APIs for internal and external use (web and mobile).
  • LLM & Agents Integration: Work on projects leveraging Large Language Models, intelligent agents, and AI-driven insights.
  • Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis and integrate ML models using tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and OpenCV.
  • Web Scraping: Build and maintain scrapers for aggregating data from relevant sources.
  • Cloud & Deployment: Assist with AWS-based deployments and infrastructure management.
  • Version Control: Collaborate via GitHub, review pull requests, and follow version control best practices.

  • Testing & Debugging: Ensure code reliability through unit tests and systematic debugging.

  • Required SkillsStrong Python programming skills and advanced Django expertise

  • Solid understanding of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL
  • Hands-on experience with Celery and Redis for task management and async workflows
  • Familiarity with templating engines like Jinja2
  • Experience integrating and managing RESTful APIs
  • Strong grasp of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Knowledge of ORMs, database schema design, and handling multiple data sources
  • Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, especially AWS
  • Exposure to LLMs, AI agents, and machine learning tools
  • Basic to intermediate experience in data analysis, using Pandas, NumPy, OpenCV, etc.

  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication, and authorisation

  • Nice to HavePrevious startup or early-stage product development experience

  • Experience working on agri-tech, sustainability, or social impact projects

  • Contribution to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile
