Role & responsibilities:

  • Directing and coordinating all electrical and C&I engineering activities for the thermal power plant construction project, from conceptual design to commissioning
  • Overseeing the design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of all electrical and C&I systems.
  • Providing expert technical guidance and support on all electrical and C&I aspects of the project. This includes reviewing technical documents, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Ensuring that all electrical and C&I engineering activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and relevant codes and standards.
  • Providing technical support during the commissioning phase of the project, all electrical and C&I systems are properly tested, commissioned, and integrated with other plant systems.
  • Erection, testing and commissioning of High-voltage and low-voltage systems, power generation systems, transformers, switchgear, protection and control systems, electrical balance of plant (EBOP), emergency power systems
  • Erection, testing and commissioning of DCS (Distributed Control System), PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), field instrumentation, control valve, flow meters, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, temperature transmitters, and other control systems.

Skills:

  • Ensuring that all electrical and C&I aspects are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

  • Aware of ERP System, and design software viz ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN Electric P8 for electrical schematics and BOM creation, and SolidWorks Electrical for integrating 2D schematics with 3D models and tools like Thermoflow

  • Aware of CAD packages for panel design, PLC programming software, HMI and SCADA

  • Knowledge of overall thermal power plant processes
