PLC Electrical Programming Engineer

A PLC Electrical Programming Engineer designs, programs, tests, and maintains control systems for industrial automation using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to improve efficiency and reliability in manufacturing processes. This role requires expertise in electrical and mechanical principles, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with PLC programming languages and various PLC platforms like Allen-Bradley or Siemens. A relevant degree in electrical, mechanical, or a related engineering field and hands-on experience with automation control systems are typically required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Programming: Develop control programs for automated machinery and systems using Ladder Logic and other PLC languages.

Installation & Testing: Install and test new PLC systems and programs, ensuring they function correctly and meet performance requirements.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform ongoing maintenance, diagnose issues, and troubleshoot malfunctions in existing automated systems to ensure production continuity.

Optimization: Implement system improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of industrial processes and production lines.

Collaboration: Work with other engineering teams to integrate systems and achieve project goals.

Documentation: Create and maintain system documentation and schematics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, computer science, or a related engineering field is often preferred.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, with hands-on experience with PLC hardware and software.

Software Proficiency: Familiarity with programming languages like Ladder Logic and different PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi.
