Resident Engineer

Responsibility:

1. Resident Engineer at the site shall be responsible for supervision / monitoring of operations of Terminal Automation System & maintenance activities required to maintain the system in healthy.

2. Following PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE Activities will be carried out:

• Periodic inspection, Cleaning & servicing of filters / strainers / air eliminators / flow meters etc. as applicable.

• Taking back-ups at regular intervals.

• Periodic shutdown maintenance for attending to Problems that cannot be attended during routine maintenance.

• Periodic housekeeping of software & hardware (servers / monitors etc.).

• Any other preventive maintenance activity required to be carried out on any field Instruments, sub-system in line with recommendations of respective OEM.

• UPS Battery maintenance.

1. Following BREAKDOWN MAINTENANCE activities will be carried out:

Resident Engineer will attend to any break-down in the Terminal automation system on an immediate basis through back-office support in coordination with specialist engineers of OEM's of bought-out items.

For repairs beyond the control of resident engineer, visits of service Engineers from respective OEM's / System Integrator will be arranged.

1. Resident engineer will be available for any maintenance work at the Terminal/depot during the day (0800 hrs. to 1800 hrs.). Prior approval from the location in-charge will be taken for any absence from the location. However, for any continuous leave / absence for more than 3 days, suitable replacement as approved by location will be provided.

2. Following General/Routine activities will be carried out:

• Establishing detailed procedures and documentation for preventive & Shutdown maintenance and preparing maintenance activity lists.

• Preparing / Updating user manuals / SOP's as and when required with Revision

remarks

• Ensuring adherence of proper procedures and execution of maintenance

Routines.

• RE will be responsible for carrying out routine inspections, system start-up, shutdown & de-bugging etc.

1. Following Documents will be maintained:

• Proper maintenance of system logbooks documenting maintenance logs of the automation systems, components, and instruments etc. as per requirements of OEM's & BPCL/IOCL/HPCL in mutually agreed formats.

• Resident engineer will maintain following system related documents at site for ready reference:

00 Complete list of Components of the Terminal automation system with detailed key

specifications, P & ID diagrams viz. model no. sr. no. etc

DOAssembly drawings of the entire metering system clearly indicating each part name.

0OList of spares consumed / repaired during each year to be updated after each visit.

DO Monthly updated History sheet of critical units.

DOOperations & Maintenance manual for all the components of metering system.

1. Contract Management:

• RE should know the scope of their site and be responsible for the preparation of preventive maintenance reports for billing and payment follow ups of CAMC/AMC or variation order.

• RE should know the current BG status and tracking of BG dates.
