Counsellor/Psychotherapist

• Conduct regular individual and group counselling sessions with children.
• Build trust-based relationships and maintain confidentiality and child protection ethics.
• Support children dealing with trauma, anxiety, anger, fear, low self-esteem, grief, or behavioural challenges.
• Teach coping mechanisms, self-regulation, and life skills (empathy, communication, conflict resolution).
• Identify children with serious emotional or developmental needs and refer to psychiatrists/psychologists when needed.
• Conduct awareness sessions on topics like safe touch, emotional expression, peer bonding, discipline, hygiene, and future aspirations.
• Coordinate with caretakers, wardens, teachers, and social workers to ensure a supportive environment.
• Maintain case files and progress notes for each child (as per JJ Act / CWC requirements).
• Participate in admission and rehabilitation planning for children leaving or joining the shelter.

Pay: From ₹1,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 2 – 3 per week
