Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c) in Linux/Unix/Windows and OCI environments.
  • Provision and administer DB Systems in OCI.
  • Manage Oracle databases on OCI Compute instances.
  • Configure OCI networking (VCN, Subnets, Security Lists) for database connectivity.
  • Implement backup and recovery using RMAN and OCI Object Storage.
  • Set up and monitor Data Guard/Standby databases on OCI for disaster recovery.
  • Use OCI Console and CLI for DB lifecycle management, patching, scaling, and monitoring.
  • Implement security best practices in OCI (IAM users, policies, encryption, audit).
  • Perform performance tuning with AWR, ADDM, ASH, and optimize SQL queries.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using Shell/Python scripting and OCI SDK/CLI.
  • Provide 24x7 support for both on-prem and cloud databases.

Technical Skills:

  • Databases: Oracle 11g/12c/19c
  • Cloud: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (DB Systems, Object Storage, IAM)
  • High Availability: Oracle RAC, Data Guard (on-prem & OCI)
  • Backup & Recovery: RMAN, Data Pump, OCI Object Storage
  • OS Platforms: Linux (RHEL/OEL), Windows Server
  • Performance Tools: AWR, ADDM, SQL Tuning, OEM
  • Scripting: Shell, Perl, OCI CLI/SDK
