Job Summary :

We are seeking a seasoned SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant with a minimum of 9 years of experience to drive the successful delivery of SAP TM modules. This role requires deep, specialized expertise in SAP TM on S/4HANA, with mandatory experience in system configuration, implementation, and support.

The consultant will be responsible for complex integrations across the SPM solution (Master Data, ECC, EWM) and third-party systems, leveraging advanced TM concepts such as Optimizer Planning, BRFplus, and BOPF.

The role involves leading new releases, managing daily operations, and providing technical training to junior team members.

Job Description :

SAP TM Implementation and Solution Delivery :

- Lead the implementation, configuration, and successful delivery of the SAP TM module deliverables specifically within the S/4HANA environment.

- Apply deep expertise in core SAP TM functionalities, including Master Data setup (e.g., resources, equipment, locations), Transportation Planning (lanes and schedules), Transportation Execution, Transportation Charge Calculation, and Freight Settlement.

- Demonstrate mandatory experience in the Shipper Scenario, ensuring optimal configuration for the client's outbound and inbound logistics requirements.

- Provide expert-level support during all phases of the project lifecycle, including implementation, post-go-live support, and actively contribute to upgrade-related activities (e.g., transitioning from TM 9.x to S/4HANA TM).

Integration and Technical Concepts :

- Design and ensure seamless SAP Integration of SAP TM with related SAP Supply Chain components as part of the overall SPM solution, specifically ECC/S/4HANA (MD), and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).

- Develop and manage interfaces between SAP TM and other third-party systems (e.g., carrier portals, external rating engines) using standard and custom integration technologies.

- Possess deep knowledge of advanced TM technical concepts, including the functionality and troubleshooting of Optimizer Planning for freight unit building and carrier selection.

- Demonstrate a strong understanding and working knowledge of the Process Object Worklist (POWL), the Business Rule Framework plus (BRFplus) for condition maintenance, and the Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) for TM data modeling.

Team Leadership and Operations

- Take ownership of the successful deployment of new releases and managing daily operations within the SAP TM landscape, ensuring system stability and functional performance.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., SD, MM, FI) to ensure smooth end-to-end business processes and resolve integration issues swiftly in a dynamic work environment.

- Act as a technical mentor, providing formal and informal training and guidance to junior resources within the SAP TM practice.

- Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex transportation issues and optimize system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : Mandatory minimum 9 years of experience in SAP Transportation Management, with significant expertise in the S/4HANA TM environment.

- Functional Expertise : Deep knowledge of TM master data, transportation planning (lanes/schedules), execution, charge calculation, and freight settlement.

- Integration : Mandatory experience with SAP integration of TM with MD, ECC, and EWM as part of the SPM solution.

- Scenario : Proven experience implementing solutions in the Shipper Scenario.

- Availability : Immediate joiner or maximum notice period of 15 days.

Preferred Skills :

- Advanced Concepts : Working knowledge of Optimizer Planning, POWL, BRFplus, and BOPF concepts.

- Lifecycle : Experience in both implementation, support, and upgrade-related activities (TM 9.x to S/4HANA).

- Cross-System Integration : Experience integrating TM with third-party logistics or external systems.

- Certification : SAP Certified Application Associate Transportation Management in SAP S/4HANA.
