The Information Security Team at Akamai safeguards infrastructure and improves security practices organization-wide. The Security Compliance team partners with product and platform teams to ensure adherence to safety standards.

Compliance Specialists contribute to successful security audits. This role involves analyzing compliance standards and explaining how Akamai's products meet strict security requirements.
As a Security Compliance Specialist II, you will be responsible for:
- Providing detailed analysis for compliance, including reports, presentations, assessing policies, and collaborating on cyber governance.
- Investigating potential issues and developing potential solutions by working collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Drafting governance documents supporting security initiatives and aligning with regulatory compliance requirements.
- Working independently and comfortably in ambiguous or less well defined circumstances to develop clear analysis
- Coordinating projects, supporting policy development, recommending updates, promoting awareness, seeking consensus, and providing guidance.
- Advancing collaboration across teams, developing workflows, and establishing metrics for operational effectiveness.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or Equivalent and, or relevant professional experience
- Demonstrate experience with industry compliance and security standards (e.g., PCI, ISO, SOC 2, FedRAMP).
- Demonstrate passion for learning about security and compliance; experience with a GRC tool is optional.
- Demonstrate analytical skills, solve problems, manage concurrent tasks, and prioritize effectively for productivity.
