Role Overview:

Design and develop Airborne System Software for Gogo Airborne Broadband Systems using Embedded Linux. Ensure scalability, modularity, fault tolerance, and portability across WAN technologies (ATG, ATG4, Ku, 2Ku).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software design, development, and technical reviews (design, code, unit/system tests).
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Architecture, Product Management, and Operations teams.
  • Lead software development in Embedded Linux environments.
  • Ensure alignment with product roadmap and operational requirements.

Required Skills:

  • Strong Object-Oriented Design and programming (Java, C, C++, Python). C++ mandatory
  • Embedded Linux development experience.
  • Knowledge of IP networking, databases, and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with virtualization (Docker, KVM), microservices, and event-driven architecture.
  • Agile development, CI/CD, and test automation experience.
  • Exposure to Jenkins, Spinnaker, and FAA-regulated product releases (preferred).
