  • Assembly and installation: Assembling, installing, and fitting mechanical components and entire systems according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Maintenance and repair: Performing regular maintenance, inspecting equipment for safety and quality, diagnosing malfunctions, and completing repair work.
  • Fabrication: Using hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fit metal parts and tools, and performing welding as required.
  • Safety and quality: Adhering to all health and safety regulations and ensuring that finished parts are accurate and meet quality standards.
  • Collaboration and reporting: Working with engineers and other team members on projects, and keeping records of maintenance and repair activities.

Skills and qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical strength and stamina for a potentially demanding job.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • An understanding of construction and industry safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Fabrication welding of pipe line, vessels, pots, pumps foundation, structures, steam pipe, cast iron/SS welding jobs.
