We are seeking an experienced Apache Tomcat Administrator to manage and maintain our application server environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with deploying, configuring, monitoring, and tuning Java-based applications in a Tomcat environment. This role will be critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our web-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Apache Tomcat servers.
  • Deploy and manage Java web applications (WAR files).
  • Monitor server performance, logs, and metrics to ensure uptime and responsiveness.
  • Troubleshoot application and server-level issues (JVM crashes, memory leaks, etc.).
  • Configure and manage SSL certificates and secure communication.
  • Set up clustering and load balancing for high availability (e.g., with Apache HTTPD or Nginx).
  • Work with development and QA teams to support deployments and test environments.
  • Automate deployment and configuration using scripts or CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible).
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and perform vulnerability mitigation.
  • Maintain proper documentation and change management records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Apache Tomcat (version 8.x, 9.x, or newer).
  • Solid understanding of Java EE applications and the JVM.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with web servers (Apache HTTPD, Nginx) and reverse proxy setups.
  • Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Hands-on experience with SSL/TLS, keystores, and certificate management.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20, ₹30,000.00 per month
