General Accounting Duties & Responsibilities

  • Recording Financial Transactions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Post journal entries in the accounting system.
  • Managing Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Process supplier/vendor invoices.
  • Prepare and schedule payments.
  • Reconcile AP ledgers and resolve discrepancies.
  • Managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Generate customer invoices.
  • Track incoming payments.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Reconcile bank statements with internal records.
  • Investigate and correct any discrepancies.
  • Payroll Processing
  • Calculate employee salaries, deductions, and bonuses.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets.
  • Monitor budget vs actuals.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Tax Compliance
  • Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, income tax, etc.).
  • Ensure timely tax payments and compliance with laws.
  • Internal Controls
  • Ensure accounting processes comply with company policies.
  • Support risk management by maintaining proper documentation.
  • Software & System Use
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, Xero).
  • Maintain digital and physical filing systems.
  • Experience / Fresher

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12, ₹18,000.00 per month
