Key responsibilities

Project planning and design:

  • Develop project plans, detailed designs, and specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and technical assessments.
  • Create construction plans and use CAD software for drafting.

Project execution and management:

  • Oversee and supervise construction activities on-site.
  • Ensure projects adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage project budgets and resources, including preparing cost estimates.
  • Monitor project progress and schedule, and manage risks.

Reporting and documentation:

  • Prepare detailed project reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Inspect and test building materials to maintain quality standards.

Coordination and collaboration:

  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project.
  • Communicate project status to clients and other stakeholders.

Problem-solving and guidance:

  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support.
  • Suggest alternative solutions and mentor junior engineers.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Proficiency in civil engineering design principles and software, such as CAD.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
