Job Title: Commissioning Engineer – ComAp Products
Location: Delhi/Bengaluru
Reports To: Technical Manager / Project Manager
Role Overview:
The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of ComAp controllers and related solutions in power generation, hybrid microgrids, and industrial applications. The role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on fieldwork, and direct customer interaction to ensure successful project execution and long-term reliability of ComAp systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform commissioning of ComAp for diesel/gas gensets, hybrid systems, and power management projects.
- Conduct site acceptance testing (SAT), factory acceptance testing (FAT), and ensure system compliance with customer requirements and project specifications.
- Troubleshoot control, communication, and electrical issues related to ComAp controllers, gensets, and integration with third-party systems (SCADA, PLCs, breakers, AVRs, governors, etc.).
- Provide technical support, training, and handover to customers, OEMs, and end-users.
- Document commissioning activities, prepare technical reports, and update system configuration records.
- Work closely with project managers, application engineers, and service teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Adhere to safety standards, site protocols, and quality requirements during commissioning activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering field.
- 2–6 years of hands-on experience in commissioning genset controllers, power management systems, or industrial automation.
- Strong knowledge of power generation, electrical distribution, synchronization, load sharing, and protection systems.
- Good understanding of CANbus, Modbus, Ethernet, and industrial communication protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, and control schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in both hardware and software environments.
- Willingness to travel extensively (domestic and international) for project assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work independently in multicultural environments.
Desirable Competencies:
- Exposure to hybrid microgrids, renewable integration (solar, wind, BESS), and advanced power management systems.
- Experience in SCADA/HMI integration and automation systems.
- Customer-focused mindset with training and presentation abilities.
