Senior Analyst

Roles & responsibilities
We are recruiting for a Senior Analyst to provide financial support and analysis in ensuring that the bookkeeping is accurate and complete for our group of UK legal entities, including the running of monthly processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
Monthly Management Accounts
Assist with the analysis of cost reports on a monthly basis, arranging for the necessary journal transfers to be made.
Process recharges for KBS costs and issue sundry fee notes required for external and inter office recharges, including overseas fee notes.
Review lending and borrowing reports for mis-postings and ensure time transfers are processed as appropriate
Support on production of the monthly finance report packs to budget holders
Monitor and chase outstanding fee notes
Business Partnering Support
Develop an understanding of the business being supported, being proactive to learn about products / services / markets
Support the FBP (Financial Business Partner) reviewing results and answering queries from Stakeholders
Support the FBP in managing project codes, maintaining the code book and dealing with requests and queries from budget holders
Support with complex process and administration queries and requests
Accounts payable
Assisting with accounts payable processing, including validation, and coding of supplier invoices and ensuring that they are processed within agreed timescales
Other
Prepare monthly and adhoc reports/statistics as required by the Finance manager.
Undertake adhoc projects as directed by Finance Manager
Adherence and Improvement:
Finance Process Compliance: Ensure finance processes and policies are followed; escalate deviations and remain proactive about improvements.
Community Engagement:
Active Participation: Contribute to the broader finance community through active involvement in meetings, forums, and projects.
Additional Responsibilities:
Financial Administration Duties: Undertake any other financial administration tasks relevant to the business finance agenda or with broader commercial implications.
This role is for you if you have the below
Preference will be given to those who are working towards an accounting qualification eg ACCA, CA, CIMA, CMA, MBA Finance and over 2 years relevant experience of accounting in an operational or professional services environment
Experience with SAP is preferred.
Good Microsoft Office skills essential. Aptitude for working with data.
Good communication skills – the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and partners and act appropriately on requests.
Proactive thinking but also willing to learn and work as part of a team.
Good organizational skills – ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time. Ability to deal with tight deadlines effectively, prioritizing appropriately, and to handle changing priorities and indeed change generally.
Attention to detail.
Preferred technical & functional skills
Excellent Communication Skills
Proven experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
Knowledge of Data Analytics tools
