Your Experience and Skills Include:

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 58 years of experience in backend or full-stack software engineering.
  • Strong expertise in Java or a similar backend language (e.g., Kotlin, Python), with a willingness to adopt our tech stack.
  • Working knowledge of frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of API design principles, RESTful services, and system-level architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with MySQL (or equivalent RDBMS), including data modelling and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with scalable microservices architectures and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools (preferred: AWS CDK or similar).
  • Strong grasp of software security, authentication, and authorization best practices.
  • Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative startup environment.
  • A mindset of ownership, accountability, and a passion for solving hard problems that matter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, etc.
  • Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch).
  • Exposure to machine learning workflows or data pipeline architectures (a plus, not required).
  • Prior experience working in early-stage startups or education/EdTech is a plus.
