About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Windchill Developer to design, customize, and implement PTC Windchill solutions that enhance product lifecycle management across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windchill customization, integrations, and configuration to support engineering and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement customizations, enhancements, and extensions for PTC Windchill PLM solutions.
  • Configure and maintain Windchill PDMLink and ProjectLink modules to meet business requirements.
  • Develop Java-based custom code using Windchill APIs, Info*Engine, and related technologie
  • Integrate Windchill with enterprise applications (ERP, CAD tools, etc.) using REST/SOAP services or middleware.
  • Manage and optimize Windchill workflows, lifecycles, access control rules, and versioning policies.
  • Work closely with business users to analyze requirements and design scalable PLM solutions.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, performance bottlenecks, and conduct root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and database teams for Windchill upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure best practices for data management, security, and system reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–8 years of experience in PTC Windchill development and customization
  • Strong knowledge of Java, JSP, XML, and Windchill APIs (JCA, J-Link, Info*Engine).
  • Hands-on experience in Windchill configuration, workflows, and lifecycle templates.
  • Experience with Windchill data model customization, migration, and access control.
  • Understanding of CAD integrations (Creo, AutoCAD, etc.) with Windchill.
  • Familiarity with Oracle / SQL Server databases and scripting languages (Shell, Python).
  • Experience with PLM-ERP integrations is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment.
