About the Role

We are looking for a Video Editor to join our growing multimedia team at In this role, you will take ownership of the editing process — from raw footage to polished content — across news explainers, interviews, promos, social-first videos, and long-form features. You will collaborate with producers, strategists, and anchors to deliver impactful content that strengthens ET's digital storytelling.

We're seeking someone zealous about leveraging AI tools and creative expertise to optimize workflows and push the boundaries of video editing.

Work Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble raw video footage into polished, high-quality final outputs.
• Add background music, sound effects, transitions, text overlays, and animations.
• Adapt content for multiple formats and platforms (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, OTT).
• Collaborate with content strategists, producers, and anchors to deliver on creative briefs.
• Maintain and organize a well-structured library of media assets and project files.
• Ensure consistency with ET's brand guidelines across all video outputs.
• Deliver content within tight deadlines while upholding high creative standards.
• Stay updated on editing trends, AI-driven video tools, and digital storytelling innovations.

Skills, Experience & Expertise

• Proficiency in professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
• Working knowledge of motion graphics and animation (Adobe After Effects preferred).
• Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and export workflows for digital platforms.
• Creative flair for storytelling, pacing, and visual appeal.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced newsroom/creative environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Openness to feedback with the ability to iterate quickly.

Eligibility

• Education: Graduate/Postgraduate degree or diploma in Mass Communication, Film Studies, Multimedia, or related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years of professional video editing experience (media, digital platforms, or creative agencies). A portfolio/reel of past work is mandatory. Candidates with demonstrated use of AI-based video tools will be preferred.
