A Sr. Manager HEMM (HEAVY EQUIPMENT, MACHINERY & MECHANIZATION) in coal mining is responsible for leading and managing the entire HEMM department, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of all equipment, machinery, and related operations within the mine. This includes planning, execution, and optimization of HEMM activities to support production targets, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. 

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  HEMM Planning & Execution:
  Develop and implement HEMM plans, strategies, and schedules to achieve production goals and ensure efficient utilization of resources. 
  
  
• 
  Maintenance & Repair:
  Oversee maintenance and repair activities for all HEMM equipment, ensuring optimal availability and performance. 
  
  
• 
  Cost Control & Efficiency:
  Monitor fuel consumption, track HEMM performance, and implement cost-reduction measures to improve efficiency. 
  
  
• 
  Safety & Compliance:
  Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulations, and guidelines related to HEMM operations. 
  
  
• 
  Team Management:
  Lead, mentor, and supervise HEMM personnel, including mechanics, operators, and other support staff. 
  
  
• 
  Vendor Management:
  Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and OEMs for maintenance support and spare parts. 
  
  
• 
  Performance Monitoring & Improvement:
  Continuously monitor HEMM performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability. 
  
  
• 
  Project Management:
  Manage HEMM-related projects, including upgrades, modifications, and new equipment installations. 
  
  
• 
  Statutory Compliance:
  Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and regulations related to HEMM operations. 
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 
  Experience:
  Extensive experience in coal mining operations, specifically with HEMM maintenance and management. 
  
  
• 
  Technical Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of HEMM equipment, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements. 
  
  
• 
  Leadership & Management:
  Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and stakeholders.

  Problem-solving & Analytical Skills:
  Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical and operational issues related to HEMM.

  Planning & Organizational Skills:
  Ability to plan, organize, and execute HEMM activities effectively.

  Safety & Compliance Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the mining industry.

  Computer Skills:
  Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office and potentially specialized HEMM management systems.
