Job Title: Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mold Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and developing molds for plastic injection molding and other mold types. You will be responsible for creating 2D/3D designs, ensuring manufacturability, and supporting mold development through to production.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design thermoplastic injection molds (hot & cold runner), thermoset injection molds, compression, and transfer molds
  • Use CAD tools (NX, CREO, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 2D and 3D mold design
  • Perform part analysis for manufacturability and recommend design modifications
  • Develop detailed drawings, BOMs, and maintain revision history
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including tooling, production, and quality teams
  • Conduct mold flow and thermal simulations to improve quality and reduce cycle time
  • Participate in mold trials, debugging, and continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure compliance with dimensional accuracy, safety, and design standards
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting of existing molds

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Strong understanding of mold design and manufacturing
  • Familiarity with GD&T standards
  • Experience with Moldflow / Moldex3D is a plus
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a strong attention to detail

  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Mold Flow Analysis (Moldex3D / Autodesk Moldflow preferred)

Educational Qualification:

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or a related field
