Stray Dog Catcher

Job Summary:
We are looking for a responsible, compassionate, and physically capable stray dog catcher & handler to support our animal welfare operations. The candidate will be involved in the humane capture, handling, first aid and transport of stray dogs for clinic visits and sterilization (neutering/spaying).
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and humanely capture stray dogs from streets, markets, residential, or commercial areas using appropriate equipment
- Transport captured dogs to designated veterinary clinics or animal shelters for vaccination, treatment, or sterilization procedures.
- Assist veterinary teams during vaccinations, health checks, minor treatments, and post-operative care.
- Return dogs to their original territories post-neutering, in coordination with the team
- Maintain equipment, vehicles and cages used for dog handling and transportation.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in animal handling or working in animal welfare preferred.
- Experience using dog-catching equipment.
- Must not have a fear of dogs or other animals.
- Physically fit and able to handle large or aggressive dogs safely.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and in varied field conditions.
- Basic first aid for animals is a PLUS.
