Production Manager (Machine Shop)

Location: Rajkot, Gujarat

Industry: Machine Shop / CNC, VMC, HMC, VTL Operations

Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech Mechanical / Production

Experience: Minimum 10 Years

Salary Range: 8 LPA 12 LPA

Role Overview

The Production Manager will lead the complete machine shop operations, ensuring production efficiency, manpower management, and quality output across CNC, VMC, HMC, and VTL machines.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and manage daily production activities across CNC, VMC, HMC, and VTL machines

Ensure optimum machine utilization timely execution of production targets

Monitor machining parameters, tooling, and fixture planning

Review engineering drawings and ensure correct machining processes

Coordinate with QC, Maintenance, Planning Stores for smooth workflow

Lead a team of operators, supervisors, and programmers

Reduce cycle time, improve productivity, minimize rejections manage cost

Manage maintenance schedules for machines and tooling

Ensure adherence to safety norms and quality standards

Prepare production reports, MIS, and performance analysis

Required Skills Competencies
Strong knowledge of machining operations (CNC/VMC/HMC/VTL)

Understanding of casting machining, tolerances, GDT, and process flow

Experience in planning, scheduling manpower management

Technical decision-making capability

Good communication leadership skills
