Role Overview :

As the Data Science & AI Lead, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the companys data science and AI strategy. You will lead a high-performing team to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI/ML solutions that drive business value. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strategic vision to advance the organizations AI-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategy & Leadership :

- Develop and execute the organizations data science and AI roadmap aligned with business goals.

- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI specialists.

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Project Delivery :

- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable data science and AI/ML models.

- Collaborate with business, IT, and product teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact AI initiatives.

- Ensure models are robust, reliable, explainable, and production-ready.

Data Governance & Quality :

- Define and implement best practices for data governance, quality, and security.

- Ensure the integrity, scalability, and performance of AI solutions across platforms.

Insights & Communication :

- Analyze complex datasets to uncover insights and drive data-informed decision-making.

- Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and executives.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement :

- Stay current with emerging AI/ML technologies, tools, and frameworks.

- Continuously optimize data science methodologies, pipelines, and architectures to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements :

years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence, including 3 years in a leadership role.

- Proven experience in delivering end-to-end AI/ML projects with measurable business impact.

- Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL; expertise in frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.

- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering concepts.

- Deep knowledge of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data mining.

- Familiarity with NLP, Computer Vision, or Generative AI domains is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Scientist, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer) are preferred.

- Experience in product development, project management, or business consulting is an added advantage.
