Job Description: Data Migration QA & Analyst Overview We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our Data Migration Team. This role combines quality assurance testing with data analysis to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of migrated data during large-scale system transitions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in validating data, identifying discrepancies, and supporting migration efforts with technical and analytical expertise. Key Responsibilities
• Data Migration Testing & Validation o Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation scripts for migrated data. o Compare source and target systems to verify data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. o Identify, document, and resolve migration defects, working closely with developers, data engineers, and project managers.
• Quality Assurance o Implement QA best practices to validate migration processes and outputs. o Ensure compliance with data quality standards, governance policies, and regulatory requirements. o Perform regression and reconciliation testing across multiple migration cycles.
• Data Analysis o Use SQL, Excel, and BI/reporting tools to analyze large datasets for trends, anomalies, and discrepancies. o Provide detailed reports and dashboards to stakeholders on migration status and data quality metrics. o Collaborate with business users to interpret data requirements and confirm migrated data aligns with business needs.
• Collaboration & Support o Partner with business analysts, developers, and QA engineers to refine migration processes. o Support defect triage sessions and participate in root cause analysis.
