Mission

The Test Automation Lead will be responsible for defining and executing the overall testing and automation strategy, ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple business streams. Leading a team of three testers, the Test Automation Lead will coordinate test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting activities, with a strong focus on automation to secure quality and minimize risk for business users.

Key Responsibilities Test Automation Strategy & Planning

  • Define and implement the automation roadmap for regression, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Establish frameworks and standards for automated testing using Selenium and related tools.
  • Balance manual vs. automated testing scope based on risk, complexity, and ROI.
  • Maintain a structured automation plan aligned with project milestones and business priorities.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead and mentor a team of 3 testers, fostering automation skills and best practices.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to automation and quality standards.
  • Conduct daily syncs or weekly checkpoints, reporting progress to the Technical Lead.

Tool & Framework Management (Jira / XRay / Selenium / TestComplete /Playwright)

  • Configure and maintain test cycles, automation suites, and traceability matrices in XRay.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Jira user stories, automated test cases, and defect tracking.
  • Oversee execution of Selenium / Playwright / TestComplete automated tests and expand coverage for critical regression scenarios.
  • Collaborate with developers and automation engineers for script maintenance and CI/CD integration.

Risk & Quality Assurance

  • Identify high-risk areas and prioritize automation coverage to minimize business impact.
  • Participate in defect triage meetings, providing automation insights for go/no-go decisions.
  • Validate environment readiness and ensure automation pipelines run reliably across test phases.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Partner with business representatives, stream leads, and IT to align automation coverage with business needs.
  • Deliver regular reports on automation progress, defect trends, and quality metrics to the steering committee.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a
    Test Automation Lead
    or similar role in enterprise-scale projects.
  • Strong expertise in
    Selenium / TestComplete / Playwright
    and test automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Jira
    and
    XRay
    for test management and traceability.
  • Solid understanding of regression, integration, and UAT processes.
  • Leadership skills to manage and mentor a small team of testers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
