DXP Platform Architect

Role Summary

• The incumbent will be the Technical Platform Architect who will lead our Digital Experience Platform (DxP) team as we grow and transform our MarTech landscape
• You will have the chance to play a critical role in the delivery of best-in-class consumer experiences through our DxP platform, providing technical leadership on MarTech business capabilities, operating models, and solution design
• We are looking for a senior technologist with expert-level knowledge who will be working closely with the DxP Platform Owner, together, responsible for managing the backlog and delivery across a range of capabilities, including web content management, web experimentation & optimization, digital asset management, content marketing workflow, personalization, and MarTech integrations supporting a portfolio of 500+ global brand websites
• This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the solution design and architecture across web, marketing and shoppable solutions and the integrations they require.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the DxP product technical architecture strategy vision and lead the engineering team to deliver web platforms and related services.
• Establish and implement contemporary DxP architectures capable of meeting strategic growth with best-in-class consumer experiences.
• Business and technical stakeholder management supporting the delivery lead in managing timeline, risks and issues and improvement activities.
• Aligning solution design with the Enterprise Architecture function, attending the architecture review board as the DxP subject matter expert, and providing input to impact of strategic directions on existing / transitional architectures.
• Translating business requirements into system level design and detailed technical architecture for solution delivery on Web, DAM, PIM, integrations, and Marketing Automation solutions
• A process integration mindset with a focus on scalable integration architectures is required.
• Lead, coach, and guide the technical engineering team for a highly complex, business critical DxP solution integrated with multiple external SaaS providers.
• Technical leadership skills in driving architecture, helping with technical trade-offs, and driving best practices.
• Accountable for all overall solution design including facilitating the ideation, solutioning, quality review.
• Driving technical change towards event driven architectures and reusable integration patterns.
• Leadership of CI/CD strategy and landscape design for all MarTech delivered systems for the engineering team and driving improvement of branching / release strategy and change processes.
• Help identify opportunities for and drive continuous improvement activities. Maintain a strong understanding of industry standards and collaborate with fellow team leaders on the prioritization and execution of ongoing platform improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology discipline is required; master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in delivering large scale IT solutions in an enterprise digital landscape consisting of but not limited to headless Content Management, SEO, CRM, Digital Asset Management, and/or other MarTech platforms.
• Hands-on experience in agile product management with proven track record of designing multiple large, complex projects in the digital marketing space.
• A strong background in technical design / architecture of end-to-end technology stack, including hosting, network, virtual infrastructure, monitoring, web servers, caching, database, CMS, front-end, microservices, and front-end frameworks is required. Kafka based event driven integration architectures preferred.
• Must have knowledge in preferably Java and / or strong background in React / Angular /
• Experience developing or working with Cloud-based technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Azure Cloud.
• Applied knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and best practices.
• Strong experience with solutions respecting security and data privacy requirements (GDPR, CCPA).
• Extensive knowledge of managing digital platforms and the setup and management of teams which deploy on these platforms is required.
• Understanding of issues covering site architecture, user-interface, and navigation along with familiarity with software quality assurance processes is required.
• Experience with Lean / Agile methodology, Test Driven Development, QA automation, and DevOps processes is required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience in communicating across various levels of the organization.
