Job Title: Software Engineer – Python Backend (Django/Postgres)

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer (Backend) with strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience in Django and PostgreSQL. You will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, and databases to power our applications. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend applications using Python (Django/DRF).
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
  • Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
  • Ensure high code quality through testing, reviews, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, QA, and DevOps to deliver features.
  • Participate in debugging, performance tuning, and production support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of backend development experience in Python.
  • Strong knowledge of Django/Django REST Framework (DRF).
  • Experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, query optimization).
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker.
  • Understanding of OOP, design patterns, and REST principles.
  • Good problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Exposure to Redis, Celery, or message queues.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Knowledge of testing frameworks (PyTest, unittest).
